Level: basic
  • Draw one or more jewels and apply the basic techniques e.g. melting, using rolling mil, sawing, soldering, polishing;
  • Produce the jewels, in silver and cooper, from the very beginning.

Level: intermediate
  • Draw one or more jewels and apply intermediate techniques e.g. E.g. embed, gouge, make different closings and producing different chains;
  • Produce the jewels, in silver and/or gold, from the very beginning.

Level: advanced
  • Draw jewels applying 3 advanced techniques; smelt, chisel, batear, lapidary E.g. stones setting; cutting stones; engraving;
  • Produce the jewels, in silver and gold, from the very beginning.

Additional information:

  • The students decide the jewellery they want to produce during the training;
  • Target-group: anyone interested to start or improve the art of creating studio jewels (min 18 years old, if less an authorisation from the tutor is needed);
  • The frequency of the basic level doesn't oblige the participant to continue the intermediate or advanced level, although its recommended;
  • Students need to obtain a work kit (basic tools) constituído por:jeweller saw, 12X12saw 0/3, 2 pliers, compass, ruler, scribe, goldsmith square, tweezer, 200 pure silver, 4 specific files (half round, triangle, parallel e cobble) and tool box.
  • Previous knowledge needed for people who wish to start directly the intermediate or advanced level;
  • At the end of the course participants take home their jewels and kit;
  • The registration has to be paid at the beginning of the course;
  • Participants who skip classes can reschedule;
  • Participants shall by extra material (silver, gold, stones, cooper, etc.);
  • Certificates will be given to participants at the end of the training;
